What makes a GTU paper its own thing

One topic, three weights

Q.1(a) for 3, Q.1(b) for 4, Q.1(c) for 7 — often on the same unit. A 3-mark definition padded to 7 marks loses marks for waffle, so each sub-part is written to its own weight.

OR options across questions

Most GTU questions carry an OR alternative. Both branches are answered, so you can revise whichever your batch was taught more thoroughly.

A program question wants a program: imports, the class, the loop, the output. Explaining an algorithm in prose where the paper asked for Java is how marks go missing.
